Laboratory Specialist

Job description

Laboratory Specialist is a key assistance role for basic laboratory operations. Laboratory Specialist will support with laboratory order, sample preparation for specific equipment, executing straightforward experiments.

Main responsibilities:

• Assists with sample preparation for Karl Fischer titrator, pH/Meter, ICP, density meter, optical microscopy and profilometer (Inobat will provide all trainings);

• Execute measurements with basic laboratory equipment: pH/meter, density meter, voltage tester, weighting with scales, drying with oven, electrode cutters, transfer samples in/out glovebox, etc (Inobat will provide all trainings);

• Assists with coin cell assembly (Inobat will provide all trainings);

• Assists with sample preparation for X-Ray CT/ Microscopy (Inobat will provide all trainings);

• Maintaining work areas in laboratory accordingly to internal rules (Inobat will provide all trainings);

• Maintains general laboratory order and clean level in daily basis; make sure consumables, tools, PPE are stored in a proper way and dedicated places, maintaining wastes and cleanless of work areas;

• Maintaining use and inform about supplies for laboratory utility materials;

• Knows internal laboratory working rules such as using of PPEs for different activities, battery handling and storage;

• Keeps track that batteries are stored according to laboratory rules;

• Reports to Manager about any equipment failures and working rules violations;

• Reports to Manager if any general consumables/PPE is about to be out of stock.

Personality requirements

• English is mandatory (B2 minimum);

• Qualification programs related to laboratory equipment usage is a bonus; PhD/Master in chemistry, physics, material sciences is a bonus;

• Verbal communication skills;

• Attention to details and accuracy;

• Proactive self-starter and capable of working under minimal supervision;

• Ability to manage your working day according to actual tasks & setting priorities;

• Desire to grow as application engineer in battery industry;

• ​Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries or supercapacitors is a bonus;

Education

Physics or Chemistry, Material sciences or any technical focus OR at least 1-year experience of work in technical laboratories/manufacturing/metrology
