Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is going to perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment used in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities.

Job description

This is a project-based position until 31 July 2027, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.

  • Independently troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain facility/electromechanical production machinery;

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment for battery production (machines like mixers, coaters, calendars, slitters, vacuum dry ovens, battery performance testing machines, etc.);

  • Perform repairs on malfunctioning equipment;

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment, using standard and specialized hand/power tools (pipe threader, press, welder, cutting torch, machining, etc.);

  • Evaluate equipment by establishing operating conditions, devising performance tests, analyzing results, and recommending changes;

  • Provide comprehensive technical support;

  • Communicate engineering issues and create work requests;

  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms;

  • Perform other tasks as instructed by management.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Technical High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of experience working in a maintenance capacity on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education;

  • direct knowledge in the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;

  • ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerances;

  • solid electrical knowledge (has a thorough understanding of electrical requirements and hazards);

  • advanced skills with a voltmeter to check AC / DC voltage, ability to diagnose issues, able to use a schematic diagram to troubleshoot electrical systems;

  • proficient with computer and information technology;

  • previous hands-on experiences with equipment installations, validation, and troubleshooting support;

  • strong ability to work in a structured and detailed way, ensuring timelines and detailed requirements are monitored and achieved;

  • experience within a fast-paced work environment is an advantage;

  • experience dealing with complexity in a multi-national environment.
